Harpers Ferry - May 2023

On May 19th through may 21st we had our monthly trip, which was at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. To start, on Friday night was the night that everyone set up their tents and temporary living spaces, and after having a quick dessert. Saturday is the biggest day because we have the entire day to do activities. We went to a national park, which had a small village inside. After taking a bus to get to the village, we did a scavenger hunt by taking pictures and answering questions. We went shopping, hiking, and more for the rest of the day. Sunday was an exciting day, as there was a ropes course that had multiple levels. Each level got higher and more difficult, which gave a wide range for any level of climber. Right after, we set sail for home.    - by Charlotte Price

Our campsites were right next to the Potomac River - beautiful!

Most scouts hiked up above the Harpers Ferry village to see the famous Jefferson Rock, where Thomas Jefferson stood and reported it was worth sailing the Atlantic just to see the beauty there.

This was our annual family camping trip, so siblings and parents were welcome.
